Sutherland Engineering has long been known for adhering to the highest engineering and design standards for their electronics, mainly their highly regarded, stand-alone phono stages. Ron Sutherland is also known for being the engineer and cofounder of Martin Logan speakers (he's the Logan. Ron and Gayle used their middle names). Once you move past the entry level products they strongly believe in the "monoblock" approach with separate boards and power supplies for each channel. Ron's design philosophy is to make his products as neutral as possible without "tailoring" to different tastes. His products are designed and manufactured in the Kansas City area, for locals the ultimate American made product.
